Is it true that in the Pushtimarg, God does every thing? We do not have to do anything? My mother tells me that I must do seva everyday, do 'jup and path', i.e. recite the verses everyday.
It is true. God is the one who controls and does everything. Everything happens only according to the will of God. This is like your mother dear, who cooks in the house, feeds you by putting morsel after morsel in your mouth to nourish you. All of you have to do is chew and swallow, because you don't have pushed it down the gullet - right? You do this because you enjoy it and so does mother . This is exactly what God does to us. He makes us do Seva, Jup, recite the prayers. We derive a certain kind of fulfillment when we do all this. It also makes God very happy. Remember we do not do any of this. It is by God's grace, only, that it is all possible. That is why our sampraday is called Pushtimarg - 'Krupamarg" or the path of grace.

Shri Mahaprabhuji has established Pushtimarg. He is the form of Gods mouth is not different from the body, Shri Mahaprabhuji is not separate from God, neither is He small or less strong. He is God incarnate. A Pushtimargiya Vaishnav must wear a tulsi kanthi around his neck. The Vaishnav men must wear a red tilak on their foreheads. The Vaishnav women must put a red bindi on their foreheads. While doing seva, the men must wear dhoti - bandi (vest) and the women and unmarried girls must wear a sari. You must be intiated with the ashtakshar mantra. If you wish to do Seva, you must also take Brahmasambandh mantra. Lord Krishna is Shri Nathji. we must only worship Him. We must only think of Him and sing His glory. We must not worship any other diety or Goddess. Also, you must take, only Shri Thakorji's prasad. You cannot take any other God or Goddess's prasad. You must do Shri Thakorji's Seva only in your house. You are not to ever, ask God for anything. You must not pray to God for something. Instead, sing the glories of the lord and pray frequently. Make it a habit to do Shri Thakorji's Seva every day. Also do the ashtakasar jup, and all of Yamunaji's verses glorifying her. You must greet everyone with 'Jai Shri Krishna' with love.
