Shri Gokulnathji

Shri Gokulnathji's Sevya Swaroop - Shri Gokulnathji

Shri Gokulnathji is the fourth Jewel of Shri Vithalnathji (Gusainji).

He was born in Adel on Friday the 7th of Maghshar sudh, samv. 1608.

When Shri Gusainji was perfoming Seva of Shri Navnitpriyaji someone came to give badhahi, at that moment Shri Gusainji addressed that “this child will perform miracles and will establish new path”. The reason Shri Gusainji said these words because He could not perform seva of Shri Navnitpriyaji reason was jannasoch (punaro)

He was handsome, slim and clever. He was well versed in Marg’s Sidhant and defended Shri Mala and Tilak.

Shri Girdharji taught his Sandya. Karnatak’s Dhordhar Vedgiya Shri Naraiyanbutt taught him Ved.

He had Yesh and Ashweriya guan.

Shri Gusainji used to call him by the second name Vallabh.

His uopnaiyan was performed in Shrimadh Gokul in Samv. 1616

His wedding was performed in Kashi with Shri Parvathiji daughter of Shri Vannaibutt in Samv. 1631. He had four children:

Shri Vallabhachariya established Pustimarg and Shri Vithalnathji (Gusainji) well organized and expanded it. The way seed sown in the soil needs proper care and seedling needs protection, in the same way He (Shri Gokulnathji) did care to protect Pustimarg. In samv. 1674 mogul ruler issued ordinance to ban Malakanthi and Tilak, but Shri Gokulnathji went to Kashmir to meet ruler and in samv. 1677 Shri Gokulnathji was victorious and got order revoked.

Being most knowledgeable personality he wrote numerable Granths (books) on the principal of Pusti marg in easy language for a common man to understand. The most important writing were “Shri Mahprabhuji 84 Vartas and Shri Gusainji’s 252 Vartas” along with it were His own “Hasiya prasangoo” and “Vachnamurath”granths.
