Shri Govindraiji

Shri Govindraiji's Sevya Swaroop - Shri Vithalnathji  Shri Govindraiji's

Shri Govindraiji is the second Jewel of Shri Vithalnathji (Shri Gusainji).

He was born in Adel on Thursday, the 8th of vadh margshis (gujarati kartik) samv. 1599 in Shri Vallabh’s nij grah batak . He was fair and had full faith in his father Shri Vithalnathji.

He always wore white dothi and uoprana with few ornaments.

In grammar his knowledge was immense. He was addressed as Rajaji, and his look was like a Raja.

He had Ashaveriya guan (element).

His uopnain was performed in 1608.

He was married to Shri Raniji in chaitra month samv. 1615. He had four Sons and two daughter.They were:

  1. Shri Khaliyanraiji born on samv. 1625posh vadh 7th .
  2. Shri Gokuloustavj born on samv. 1635 jeyasth vadh 4th.
  3. Shri Krishnaraiji born on samv. 1637 posh Vadh 5th &
  4. Shri Laxminarshiji born on samv. 1640 bhadrapad Vadh 4th


    5. His daughters were

  5. Shri Rukmaniji and
  6. Shri Ramkuvarji.

When his son Shri Khaliyanji was born, he was performing Shinghar of Shri Nathji and at that time Shri Nathji asked bhadai and told him “Govind tere khaliyan bhaiyo, bhadai de”, than Shri Govindji went a bit away, but Shri Nathji told him “bhadai pele de, shingharkarke chaliyo jayango” than Shri Govindji removed ring from his hand did beta. Panna (emerald) of that ring Shri Nathji till date wears on His head and the empty gold ring is kept in Shri Vithalnathji’s haveli at Shri Nathdwara. Shri Govindji sevya swaroop is Shri Vithalnathji.

He always perform Uthapan’s seva and was always ready for seva. On the day of Shri Khaliyanji’s wedding and when the muhrat of vergora came, tears ran down from your eyes seeing this Shri Gusainji asked why tears on this occasion, he replied “Uthapan seva chotaigi” Shri Gusainji told him to attain uthapan seva and He will attain vergora. This shows how important Seva is?
