Shri Gopinathji

Shri Gopinathji's Sevya Swaroop - Shri Madan Mohanji  Shri Gopinathji's

Shri Gopinathji is the first jewel of Shri Vallabh and Shri Laxmiji (Akaji).

He was born in Adel on Ashiwin vadh 12, v.s.1568. He was named as Shri Gopinathji, He was Shri Baldev’s rebirth (elder brother of Shri Krishna).

Shri Vallabh performed Uopnain sanskar in 1573 in Kashi. Being Ved swaroop He spread the Vedh marg.

He was married to Shri Priyaji some where between 1581 and 1584. He had three children,

  1. Shri Prusotamji,
  2. Mahalaxmiji betthiji,
  3. Satiyabhamaji betthiji.

He had vowed to complete Shrimadh Bhagwatji and then have meals and which took him 3 to 4 days. His wife, Shri Priyaji too did not have meals. Seeing this Shri Vallabh created Shri Prusotam Sashtra Naam granth and offered it to Him to recite daily which will bear the same fruit as Shrimadh Bhagwatji.

He blessed a few Vaishnavs with Bramasamband.

His own saivya was Swaroop Shri Madhanmohanlalji, which he gave to Mahaprabhuji’s sevak Ramdas, which today is housed in Ahmedabad’s Rajametha’s Pol and Mukhiyaji Ranchodlal Maneklal Vyas is the custodian of swaroop.
