SHRI GIRIRAJ JI |
---|
Is Shri Giriraj a mountain or God? |
Shri Krishna is God. Shri Nathji is God. So is Shri Giriraj God. When we do seva of Shri Nathji's picture, we do not regard it as a mere piece of paper. We have that indomitable faith, that Shri Nathji is actually embodied in that picture. Exactly in that manner, the Govardhan mountain near Jatipura in Vraj, is a living embodiment of God Shri Giriraj. You must have that implicit and unbending faith. |
It is said that we cannot climb the Govardhan mountain. What is the reason? |
---|
The answer to this question, has already become a part of the first answer. We are careful that our leg does not touch someone, Right? If by chance, it does so happen, then we are quick to apologize, by touching his feet. We are equally careful that we do not let our feet touch God's pictures or idols. Then how can we actually place our foot on God Himself? Can we ever walk on that, of which we do seva and puja? |
Explain the reason of offering and bathing Shri Giriraj with milk? Why can't we use only water? |
---|
Milk is pure. Milk is product of a mother's love in her heart. A mother feels the most of children in her depth of her heart. That love is transformed into milk, and which in turn nurture the child. Thus mother's milk is the child's favourite. Let us apply this analogy to cow's milk. The cow is our mother. All the Gods and Demi-Gods reside in her. As a natural consequence of milk is pure. You will remember that Lord Krishna loved cows very dearly. He used to take them for grazing to the base of Shri Giriraj. In turn Shri Giriraj also considered the cow as a mother symbol and considered them dear. It is for this reason that cow's milk is used to offer and bathe Shri Giriraj. Milk is a symbol of love. Since we love Shri Girirajji, we offer milk as a substitute of our love and pour it over Shri Giriraj Bava. |
Can we bathe Shri Giriraj with buffalo's milk? |
---|
You should make full efforts to use cow's milk. The quantity hardly matters. But in the event of unavailability of cow's milk, buffalo's milk can be substitute. |
When people offer milk in Jatipura, there is excess wastage of that milk, Isn't there any way to prevent this from happening? |
---|
Most certainly and definitely a solution can be found to this situation. The clean cement tank should be built in the ground where the milk, after bathing Shri Girirajji is collected. This same milk should be fed to the poor children of that vicinity in systematic way. |
How is Shri Giriraj's parikrama (walking around) done? |
---|
There are different
ways of doing Shri Giriraj's parikrama. It has to be done barefoot. You
can walk with a vessel of milk, and let the milk drop, slowly through
a hole in the vessel. As you are walking on the ground and getting up
and again prostrating and continue to do so till you complete the required
distance it is called dandoti parikrama. |
Why must we do parikrama of Shri Giriraj? |
---|
3Shri Girirajji is surrounded by beautiful spots, where Lord Krishna had performed his leelas. While you are walking in your parikrama you get darshan of these beautiful spots. Plus you can also fill jhari in Shri Mahaprabhuji's baithaks. Our body gets purified, as the 'Vrajraj' - the sands of Vraj fly on us. Above all if Shri Girirajbava graces you. You can even get darshan of Shrijibava. |
