Background story of the incarnation of Purnapurshotam Shri Krishna

Before starting with the Avtaar lilas (playacts) of Bhagwan Shri Krishna lets understand the reason behind His Avtaar (manifestation). Whenever the Ahdharam (Satanic/evil) values come to prevail on the earth and Dharama (righteous/good) values decline, the Purna Purshotam Bhagwan embodies Himself forth as a human-being in order to uproot vice and to establish virtue so that the earth may get rid of sinners. History stands witness to this fact. The Avtaar (manifestation) of Purna Purshotam Bhagwan Krishna, thousands of years ago, can be cited as an example to prove this fact

Mother Earth was suffering from the tortures of demoniac powers and could not bear the weight of Ahdharam (Satanic/evil) values that were at their heyday. The pitch darkness of sin prevalent everywhere was devouring noble values mercilessly. When the Mother Earth could not tolerate all this, she approached Shri Brahmaji, the Creator of the world. Since Shri Brahmaji could do nothing much He escorted her to Purnapurshotam Bhagwan to ask for His help, Hearing the woeful tale of the Mother Earth who had taken a form of a cow, Purnapurshotam consoled her saying. "Don't worry, Earth! I myself shall be born and come in the form of Krishna in Shrimadh Gokul, in order to rid you of the clutches of sinners." This was not only the background of the incarnation of Purnapurshotam Shri Krishna but many more. His main reason was to kill all the ashura (demons) by performing Bal-Lila.

This shows Bhagwan is so graceful that He cannot see his neared and dearest one’s in pain and Himself comes ahead to protect them.
